On Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 12:00 noon, we are sponsoring a Rally for Traditional Marriage at the Kenwood Town Center.
The Rally will be held just across the street from the Kenwood Movie Theaters at the new west entrance to the Town Center at 7815 Kenwood Road.
Will you please join us on March 17th at 12:00 noon for just 45 minutes to peacefully pray the Rosary and stand up for traditional marriage in our country?
Rallies for Traditional Marriage, such as the one we are sponsoring here in Cincinnati, are being coordinated by The American TFP throughout the country on March 17th, the Saturday closest to the Feast Day of St. Joseph, the protector of the Holy Family, and by extension, our families.
We decided to sponsor the Rally at the Kenwood Town Center again this year because this is perhaps one of the busiest shopping destination in the Cincinnati metro area, with a diversity of patrons coming from throughout the metro area. We will therefore have excellent visibility for the Rally and will be able to convey a message of support for Traditional Marriage to an extremely diverse audience.
As you know, within our collective life-time, we have experienced the loss of over 150 million babies in our nation through surgical and chemical abortions. We have lost the right to pray in our public schools; to have Christmas displays on public property; and our Catholic institutions one by one are being forced to close their doors because they will not perform abortions, offer insurance benefits to same-sex "couples," or provide adoption services to homosexual "couples."
We are all acutely aware of the ongoing debates on government-mandated insurance coverage for these atrocities, despite our religious and moral objections as Catholics. You may also be aware of the ongoing assault that is taking place on traditional marriage and the DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) laws in this country.
Just a few short days ago, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco overturned a voter-approved state law (Proposition 8) that defined marriage as between one man and one woman, thus assuring this issue will ultimately wind its way to the U.S. Supreme Court, where it faces an uncertain future.
If we do not stand up for the defense of traditional marriage (and our other rights) then marriage as we know it will also go by the wayside. And with the loss of traditional marriage, the accelerated destruction of the family will quickly become an accomplished fact, serving as the final death nail for our culture and opening wide the doors to all manner of perverse "legalized" behaviors.
Here is a brief summary of "10 Reasons Why Homosexual 'Marriage' is Harmful and Must be Opposed:”
is provided below, with a more detailed explanation attached above.
10 Reasons Why Homosexual "Marriage" is Harmful and Must be Opposed:
1. It is not "Marriage."
2. It violates Natural Law.
3. It always denies a child either a father or a mother.
4. It validates and promotes the homosexual lifestyle.
5. It turns a moral wrong into a civil right.
6. It does not create a "family," but a naturally sterile union.
7. It defeats the state's purpose of benefitting marriage.
8. It imposes its acceptance on all society.
9. It is the cutting edge of the sexual revolution.
10. Most importantly, it offends God.

In closing, I would like to leave you with one final thought: If we are not willing to stand up for traditional marriage, then who will?
