Amazing interview with Catholic war hero Col. John Ripley

Part I of the video:

It was awesome to hear Col. Ripley describe when he received the grace of strength to blow up the bridge at Dong Ha, Vietnam. 

He was completely spent but when he prayed; "Jesus, Mary get me there," he received a physical, palpable power to keep on going.

It is likewise inspiring to see him make that connection with his Catholic faith.

It was an honor to have interviewed him.  His virtue of unpretentiousness was impressive.  Such an obscure and largely unappreciated virtue is always present in great Catholic personages.
