My friends at NOM sent this to me this morning:
The National Organization for Marriage Summer for Marriage RV Tour is coming to Pennsylvania!
Join us at the State Capitol in Harrisburg next Friday from noon to 1:00pm, as we call on our elected officials to protect marriage.
This week's ruling from federal judge Vaughn Walker, striking down Proposition 8, highlights the dangerous new threats to marriage that could quickly force same-sex “marriage” on the entire nation.
Think about this for a minute. A federal court in San Francisco just struck down California's constitutional amendment protecting marriage. A federal judge in Boston has ruled the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional. Within 2 years -- before the 2012 elections -- the United States Supreme Court could issue a Roe v. Wade-like ruling forcing same-sex “marriage” on the entire nation.
Gay marriage advocates are celebrating today, but this battle is far from over. Judge Walker telegraphed his intentions a long time ago, but I am confident that when this case finally reaches the Supreme Court, we will emerge victorious.
I hope you’ll make the effort to join us next week as we come together to be educated, inspired, and empowered to defend marriage in our own communities.
We have a terrific lineup of speakers who will give the latest developments in the Prop 8 case, explain how you can build a network of marriage supporters in your own neighborhood, and inspire you to make a difference in your community, standing together with millions of Americans all across the country!
