Thanks to Catholics protesting, awful immoral blasphemy is shut down

Once again the importance and effectiveness of Catholics in speaking out against blasphemy is proven.

This time in the Philippines, where there was an exhibit at The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) named the “Kulo” that contained blasphemous and impure images of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary which were decked out with silly and immoral objects.

Thanks to the huge groundswell of public outrage and protest, the exhibit was shut down.  Yes, shut down!!!

This is a good lesson for us Catholics here in the USA, where we are often told by “wise” people that protests are counter-productive since they give the blasphemy “free publicity.” These “wise” people suggest we simply do nothing and as a result the blasphemy will go away by itself due to lack of publicity.

Right!

The good Catholics in the Philippines are actually taking their protest one step further and are now set to sue the “Kulo” artist and CCP board members.

Viva the Philippines!!!

This is was is reported, despite the fact that a major Philippine daily newspaper, THE PHILIPPINE STAR, had alrady headlined in this morning's paper that the exhibit was already shut down, after the Philippines' president, Benigno Aquino III, had a closed-door meeting yesterday on this issue with the members of the CCP Board. Reports said that Mr. Aquino did not order the CCP Board to shit the exhibit down outright, but it reminded them to respect the feelings of others if a particular exhibit is offensive to some people, especially in the religious aspect.
