The future of the statue of Our Lord at the Flathead National Forest in Montana is hanging in the balance.
Officials are asking people to share their opinions on the controversy surrounding the statue of Jesus Christ that sits at the summit of Big Mountain.
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act public comments on a request to reauthorize the special use permit for the Knights of Columbus' statue of Jesus Christ on Big Mountain near Whitefish are being requested.
The comment period will run through December 8, 2011.
