According to The Washington Post, “Madonna will perform at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show” on February 5. “The NFL and NBC officially confirmed the news…”
Why is this shocking? Because few singers in history have been as blasphemous against Our Lord and Our Lady or the Catholic Faith as Madonna.
Her shows often twist Catholic themes and include very impure and indecent subjects: For example, songs Like a Virgin, Like a Prayer, Goodbye to Innocence, and in her album The Immaculate Collection.

Madonna performed a mockery of the Crucifixion in Rome, near the Vatican, where she wore a fake crown of thorns and descended on a suspended, glittery cross as part of her worldwide "Confessions Tour."
At that time, Cardinal Ersilio Tonino said:
“This time the limits have really been pushed too far. This concert is a blasphemous challenge to the faith and a profanation of the cross. She should be excommunicated.”
Madonna belittles and blasphemes what is sacred. That is why she should not perform at the 2012 Super Bowl. The NFL should not offer Madonna a worldwide platform to further undermine our culture.
“The football game is expected to attract more than 162 million TV viewers in the United States, giving Madonna a massive and captive audience for marketing purposes,” observes WorldPress.org. Just imagine how many families and children will be watching.
Let’s face it: Would the NFL hire an anti-Muslim? Or an anti-homosexual singer for the Super Bowl. Then why Madonna?
The anti-Catholic bias must stop.
