Two New Volunteers From Saipan
Last Friday two new volunteers arrived in Kansas, Mrs. Escolastica Cabrera and her daughter, Mrs. Olinka Chaudry. They are from Saipan. They put together a tremendous rosary rally in Saipan last October. They traveled to Houston to visit family and then they planned on volunteering at the campaign office.
They were supposed to arrive here on Saturday, however with hurricane Ike bearing down on the Houston area they decided to try to travel here a day earlier. What would the chances be of changing your ticket to travel a day earlier with tens of thousands trying to leave to escape the hurricane, and then, actually making it out?
When one has Our Lady behind you the chances are 100% in your favor. We at the volunteer office even wondered if they would be able to secure a seat during the mass exodus, before the airport closed.
The next thing we knew, they called from Kansas City to tell us they had arrived safely. They are now working hard to enlist rally captains with their sights aimed high.
