Did you remember to pray for the persecuted Catholics on Christmas?

How many of us remembered to pray for the Catholics around the world who are being persecuted, martyred and harassed for the Catholic faith?

While most of us where enjoying a very pleasant Christmas day, with Mass and the usual festivities, Catholics in Africa. Pakistan and Iraq, among other places, where not able to celebrate at all.  In Iraq midnight Mass was canceled.

In Pakistan, one Catholic mother of five, Asia Bibi, spent Christmas on death row for mentioning her Catholic faith to some Muslim friends.

Meanwhile, in the UK, the BBC blasphemes the Most Pure Virgin Mary with the new TV series “The Nativity.”

As we still savor the graves and blessings of Christmas today on the 26th, let us not forget those who are sacrificing their comfort, security and very lives to be faithful to the Infant King who was born in Bethlehem.
