Terrible blasphemy in the land of Our Lady of Fatima

An immoral magazine in Portugal, recently published what could possibly be the greatest outrage and blasphemy against the Sacred Person of Our Lord Jesus Christ in its history.

CAUTION: very disturbing news!

I regret to have to report this to you, but the terrible blasphemy starts on the magazine’s cover where one sees a man who is made out to look Our Lord Jesus Christ who appears in bed with a woman half-naked and tattooed arms.

At the bedside is the blasphemous book “The Gospel According to Jesus Christ.” 

The blasphemy doesn’t stop there … there are more photos of this same ilk inside the magazine.

The immoral magazine said these pages – pages of unspeakable blasphemy to the Holy Person of Our Lord Jesus Christ -- were a tribute to the memory of José Saramago.

Now, Jose Saramago was an atheist and a very anti-Catholic person. He wrote the blasphemous book "The Gospel According to Jesus Christ."

Shocking:

This blasphemous attack on Our Lord took place in the country where Our Lady appeared to the three shepherd children. In the country about which Our Lady said: "In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be kept, etc."

And with this attack on Our Lord Jesus Christ, it appears that the promoters of blasphemy are aiming to destroy this dogma at all costs.

The fact is, the publishers of this immoral magazine have committed a terrible blasphemy by dragging the Sacred Person of Our Lord Jesus Christ into the muck of pornography.

The images are so awful that just describing them makes me sick.

This is a sin that should touch us personally

First of all, as Catholics, we can not remain silent before such a sin. This attack on Our Lord ought to touch us personally.

Second, we must show our peaceful indignation and offer prayers of reparation to the deeply offended and Immaculate Heart of Mary, and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The porn-editors of this magazine acted like the cruel Roman soldiers who gave vinegar instead of water to Our Lord on the Cross.

Would they dare do the same thing with a picture of Mohammed?

Third, we are especially devoted to Our Lady of Fatima, and are especially offended when She is offended in Portugal, the country where She appeared in 1917 to the three shepherd children, and where God worked the miracle of the sun.

No, we cannot remain silent in face of this blasphemy in Portugal, the land of Our Lady of Fatima.

As Catholics, we have the obligation to protest.  And to offer reparation.
