(At the foot of the miraculous statue of Our Lady of Good Success, at the very moment of the Consecration during Holy Mass)
My colleague, Michael Gorre, just returned from Quito, Ecuador, and described his trip there in these terms:
“I had an extremely blessed pilgrimage to Quito, Ecuador, from January 25 to February 6. Warning: these photos do not come even close to conveying the blessings and palpable graces we received from Our Lady there! For those who have never been there, you should definitely make it one of the top 5 places to visit before you die.”
So, after such a disclaimer, I thought that at least you would like to see his pictures. Here they are:
Our Lady of Good Success is the main reason why people go to Quito. More on this devotion here:
12,000 people process with Our Lady in the famous Rosary of the Dawn. The Church of San Francisco is in the background.
The miraculous statue of the Buen Jesus.
Our Lady of La Merced, Generalissima of the Ecuadorian Armed Forces, as her sash indicates.
The Child Jesus.
An altar in the Cathedral dedicated to Our Lord's family.
