In his magnificent work, "The Secret of the Rosary", St. Louis de Monfort states, "Public prayer is more powerful than private prayer to appease the anger of God and to call down His mercy , and Holy Mother Church, guided by the Holy Ghost, has always advocated public prayer in times of public tragedy and suffering."

In 1571,  Islamic forces threatened Europe and had already wreaked havoc on the continent, bringing death and destruction to Christian cities.  Rome was their ultimate objective. They even had a code greeting at the end of their messages which was , "See you in Rome." The great Saint Pius V moving against the danger, raised to action a Catholic fleet to face the invaders and ordered constant rosary processions in the streets of Rome.  While in a meeting with his Cardinals, he went to the window.

Moments later he returned and suddenly announced that in a vision he saw that the overwhelmingly outnumbered Catholic fleet had completely destroyed the Muslim fleet in a miraculous victory.  The triumph in this battle of Lepanto was declared and the joyful celebration of thanksgiving began.  The feast of the most Holy Rosary, celebrated now on October 7, was instituted in thanksgiving to Our Lady for obtaining such a momentous Catholic victory.

In the same way,  America Needs Fatima will continue to hold monthly Public Square Rosary rallies beseeching Our Lady to intervene and to save America. They will be held on the Saturday closest to the 13th of each month. This month's rally will take place on Saturday, November 15, at 12, noon, in Brecksville, Ohio, at the intersection of Route 82 and Route 21.

Please join us as we pray to Our Lady to save America and to bring the triumph of her Immaculate Heart.
