Thank God, some Catholics in Ireland are starting to react against the blasphemous depiction of Our Lady of Guadalupe in a floral bikini that will soon go on display at the University College of Cork, Ireland.
The Irish Examiner had a report on it, that reads:
‘Blasphemous’ UCC exhibit sparks outrage; A CONTROVERSIAL art exhibit at UCC has sparked outrage even before it is opened.
YES! -- the Irish have started to call the University to complain and request that the image of “Our Lady” not be shown. The campaign against the blasphemous image is gaining steam and as the topic of conversation and debate on the Joe Duffy radio program, which is the largest radio program in Ireland.
Now Catholics in Ireland are planning a public, peaceful and prayerful act of protest and reparation in front of the University College Cork.
From the USA, we unite with them in fervent and constant prayer and moral support. We American Catholics have a moral duty to oppose this blasphemous depiction of Our Lady of Guadalupe at University College of Cork, since it originated here and is being taken from the USA to Ireland.
May the great nation of St. Columba, St. Brendan and St. Patrick stir up a huge and successful spiritual crusade and get this blasphemy canceled.
Thank you for your Blog, it has given us the encouragement we needed.
ReplyDeleteOur Blessed Mother is being ridiculed and the artist is showing contempt for the Mother of God
THIS IS BLASPHEMOUS
THIS THIS EXIBIT NOT ALSO A CHALLENGE to the IRISH CONSTITUTION???
ReplyDeleteIn Ireland, blasphemy is prohibited by the constitution and carries a maximum fine of €25,000. A controversial law was passed on 9 July 2009 and went into effect on 1 January 2010
We are simply outraged by the mere proposal of this art exhibit. How dare these people come into Ireland and make fun of Our Blessed Mother in this way. We must oppose this blasphemy!!!!

WAKE UP IRELAND YOU GREAT NATION!
ReplyDeleteOUR LADY OF FATIMA REQUESTED THE ROSARY TO BE SAID DAILY TO PREVENT WARS AND DEFEAT HERESY.THIS IS A MANDATE FROM HEAVEN. LUCIA ONE OF THE VISIONARIES SAID THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM THAT THE ROSARY COULD NOT OVERCOME.
IF 10%OF CATHOLICS SAID THE ROSARY DAILY WE WOULD SEE A GREAT CHANGE ON THE EARTH. THE TIME TO BE LUKEWARM IS OVER. WE HAVE A DUTY TO PERFORM AND WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE BY OUR ACTIONS OR LACK OF THEM.
PARENTS, IF YOUR CHILDREN HAVE FALLEN AWAY FROM THE FAITH, START THE DAILY FAMILY ROSARY AND SEE THE DIFFERENCE.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL,
YOURS IN CHRIST,
ANNE
