On May 1, twelve members of TFP-America Needs Fatima will leave their home in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania.
Their destination: the Boston Center for the Arts at 539 Tremont Street in Boston.
Their purpose: hold a 2 hour rally, in reparation for the play, "Jerry Springer:The Opera."
The play mocks the Catholic Faith, Our Lord and Our Lady in unspeakable ways.
Before arriving in Boston, local TFP-ANF activists, coordinated by TFP veteran member Edward Ritchie will have already laid the groundwork by handing out invitations for the rally in local churches.
Prayer warriors will convene at 6:15 p.m. at 539 Tremont Street in front of the Caldwell Pavilion of the Boston Center for the Arts.
America Needs Fatima will have a beautiful full size statue of Our Lady of Fatima, an 18-foot red medieval standard, signs and banners.
Throughout the peaceful event, prayer warriors will pray the Rosary, sing hymns, and recite litanies in reparation for the blasphemies taking place in the theater.
We must remember what Pope Leo XIII said:
"Nothing emboldens the the wicked so greatly as the lack of courage on the part of the good.”
Catholic's lack of courage is to blame for much of the evil in today's society.
At sunset, we plan to hand out candles. After lighting them, we will kneel and pray the Consecration to Jesus Christ Through the Hands of Mary Most Holy, as outlined by St. Louis de Montfort.
It will be particularly moving to note the contrast between the insolence of the play being shown a few yards away and the ardor of the protesters who will offer the Blessed Virgin, “their bodies and souls, their goods both interior and exterior and even the value of all their good actions past, present and future.”
The faint light of our candles will break the darkness.
As Catholics we must persistently stand up against the enemies of our Faith, asking the Virgin Mary for strength and the coming of the triumph of Her Immaculate Heart.
As Pope Leo XIII said, wicked men are emboldened when good men say nothing, but we pray that our rally in Boston will proved the contrary.
Wicked men are abashed by the audacity of the good. Thus, Catholics must stand tall and persistently defend the Faith in face of adversity.
In imitation of Our Savior, Who never wavered when confronting the Pharisees and Who expelled the merchants from the temple, Catholics today must never embolden the wicked with a lack of courage.
Finally Catholics must imitate the Virgin Mary, whom Solomon foresaw as being “terrible as an army set in array” (Cant. 6:9).
They must ask her for strength against the enemies of Holy Mother Church and push on until the triumph of her Immaculate Heart.
