This time, we’re off to New England.
(Mr. Cesar Franco speaks with people in the street in Monterey, CA, in defense of traditional marriage last year.)
Under the patronage of Saint Joseph to whom this caravan is dedicated, a team of nine TFP Student Action volunteers left Pennsylvania early this Monday morning for New Hampshire and Maine, where true marriage in under assault by the homosexual movement seeking to legalize same-sex "marriage."
The van is well loaded with fliers, banners, and a set of bagpipes.
Everyone “on board” shares the same joy and desire to be on the road again, defending traditional marriage, traveling from city to city, campus to campus. Let me introduce the members of the caravan to you: Benjamin Hiegert, James Bascom, Cesar Franco, Alvaro Zapata, Matthew Taylor, Elias Bartel, Charles Sulzen, and Kenneth Murphy. The average age of this group of motivated volunteers is about 23.
However, I've seen how they are experienced beyond their years when it comes to defending moral values in the public square.
They campaigned for traditional marriage in California last fall, with stops at Berkeley and Hollywood, where morality is unwelcome.
We will be distributing flyers titled “10 Reasons Why Homosexual 'Marriage' Is Harmful and Must Be Opposed,”
and calling on New Englanders to peacefully resist the advance of the homosexual movement and protect marriage from redefinition.
(A lady in Monterey, CA, reads the 10 Reasons flier during the TFP's efforts to defend traditional marriage last year.)
You can expect more news from us tomorrow after we accomplish are first campaign of the tour.
Until then, please pray for America’s conversion. And pray for us as we face the challenges involved with proclaiming the truth.
