Today we have reached our 3,400th rally captain. With a little over one week to go, our volunteers are really busy trying to reach our next goal of 3,500. We have already surpassed our original goal of 3,000, we are now striving for as many rosary rallies as possible.
Another reason why the public square rosary is so important is that the severe public sins of our nation require public reparation.
Recently, I came across a photo of a pro-abortion march that took place in Washington D.C. When I saw such a crowd publicly defying God's law without any fear, I was shocked. What must such a demonstration look like to Our Lord and Our Lady in heaven? I wondered if They asked, "will no one speak up for Me"?
The Public Square Rosary is speaking up for Our Lord Jesus Christ and The Blessed Virgin Mary! The tens of thousands who will be participating will be saying to Our Lord, that we at least, are on His side and that we are opposed to those who publicly defy Him.
Such a photo can also give us pause for reflection. Did some of these evils take place because of the general apathy and false optimism of Catholics, perhaps even ourselves? Have we stood up when the teachings of our faith have been ridiculed, or have we simply turned a blind eye.
