More pictures and reports from the 2008 rosary rallies...

Reports from the rally captains are going to our rally central at publicrosary@americaneedsfatima.org, but some are sent straight to me, and I thought to share them with you.

It's important to send them to Mr. Francis Slobdonik at the rally central so ALL the reports go to one place, so we can compile them, and make them into a huge trbitue to Our Lady for history to see.

From the email:

Rosary Rally in Marysville, California

The day started out as a cool, breezy day, and at first, we thought our family was going to be the only people at our rally. In the middle of our first rosary, though, the first other family came.

They were veterans from the Rosary Rally last year, and they brought their eleven year old son, who had also come the year before. Then, a Rosary Rally Captain from last year joined us due to the fact that she had just had a baby and wasn't able to have her own rally.

She not only brought the youngest member of the Rosary Rally, her two month old baby, but brought some people from her previous rally too.

After praying, we took a break, and during this break we had a few pieces of music, such as God Bless America, that we played on our trumpets to add to the enthusiasm of the rally.

While we were taking our break, my father noticed an elderly man who had been watching us for some time, and went over and started to converse with him.

He was in charge of keeping the veterans memorial that we had our rally in front of maintained. This man wanted to know what we were doing and if we had a permit. My father told him that he had already got permission, and that we were one of over three-thousand-five-hundred Rosary Rallies across the nation that were being held on the same day asking God through the intercession of Our Lady to have pity on our nation in the middle of this crisis because the rosary is the only solution for our times.

The man answered that he was a veteran of WWII and that he wasn't a praying man, but the crisis that our nation is facing today, is the worse crisis that our nation has ever faced, and that the only answer is prayer. He said that he was glad that there are Americans all over the country are taking to the streets, and praying in the town squares. He gave us his card and said, "If anyone bothers you, have them call me, and I'll take care of them."

Meanwhile, our uncle, aunt, and cousins came to join us, even though they were ill. Some pedestrians came and started praying with us, and even others came up and kissed the picture of Our Lady on the banner. During the whole rally, we had honks, waves, and thumbs up in approval. Many cars slowed down to read our banner, and others who had slowed down, came back around to re-read it.

During last year's rally, we were at the same spot, and didn't receive even half the amount of reactions as this year. The thought occurs to me that perhaps this is a result of the Saint Joseph's Caravan that campaigned here a month ago.

At about 1:45, my father received a call on his cell phone, from a gentleman who last year was a member of our rally, who stepped up and courageously became a Rosary Rally Captain himself. He told my father that he was holding his rally just a few blocks away from us, and that he had a beautiful thought!  He said we should begin our last rosary together, and end in unison.

As we were ending, a lady who had joined us early, spontaneously began singing traditional Mexican songs of praise to Our Lady bringing the rest of her friends singing as well. It was a beautiful way to end the Rosary Rally!
