Iraqi Catholic lady shot dead in her home

Violence against Catholics in Iraq continues.  This time a Catholic lady,  Rafah Toma, who had survived the bombing of the Catholic church in Bagdad where 58 were martyred, was shot in her home by a thief.

Press reports say this was a typical death for money, and that their was no connection to the religion of the victim.

Coincidence?  Perhaps.

But what are the odds that one of the few who survived the horrific murder in the Bagdad Church would be shot in her own home a few weeks later by a thief?

Not likely.

Whatever the case, violence against Catholics in Iraq and worldwide is on the rise.  May these new martyrs help the rest of us of the Catholic world wake up to this danger before its too late!
