Today our volunteers signed up three extraordinary rally captains. Two of those who signed up are wheel chair bound and the third is an 83 year old.
They all expressed the desire to become rally captains, but were hesitant to agree because they are not really able to travel to a very visible public location. Each of the three volunteers spoke to them with encouragement and asked them if they had sidewalks in front of their homes.
They all answered that they did. The volunteers suggested that they hold their rallies on the sidewalk in front of their homes. All three individuals from totally different parts of the United States enthusiastically agreed, that would be possible. With enthusiasm they signed up to become rally captains and to receive a banner.
What an expression of love for Our Lady!
There is also the case of a rally captain who called in and who wanted to withdraw. This person has some health difficulties as well as being along in years.
Her friends and family discouraged her from holding a rally saying that it would be too much for her.
The volunteer asked her if she would be willing to hold it on her sidewalk in her front yard. She said that she hadn't thought of that.
She immediately became enthusiastic and began thinking of friends whom she could invite to join her rally right in her front yard.
