Recently, the Luxembourg parliament legalized euthanasia, the killing of elderly or infirm human beings.
However, the head of state, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, courageously vetoed the measure upsetting many advocates of the culture of death. Members of parliament are now maneuvering to strip him of his veto power.
He needs prayers and encouragement to stand strong against euthanasia, especially during the next few days
Please send an email of support to the Duke today at:
Or, consider faxing the Duke a letter of your own, encouraging him to remain steadfast.
His fax number (if sending from within the United States) is 011-352-474-874703, and the correct form of address is “Your Royal Highness.”
Put on your cover sheet “Attn: Col. Christnach, Secretary to the Grand Duke (Correspondence for His Royal Highness).”
Below is a copy of the letter sent by the American TFP.
I am asking you to send him an email or to fax him a letter of your own today with all urgency. He is under tremendous pressure to capitulate. The sooner he hears from you, the better.
Thank you for your help!

H.R.H. Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg
Palais Grand-Ducal
L-1728 Luxembourg
LuxembourgYour Royal Highness:
On behalf of the directors and members of The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property—TFP, I congratulate you for refusing to sign the bill legalizing euthanasia in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Your brave stand sent a message of faith not just into the hearts of the people of Luxembourg, but to millions worldwide.
Although our increasingly militant secularist “culture of death” denies it, God alone is the Master of life and death. Euthanasia violates the Fifth Commandment, “Thou shalt not kill,” and when a government legalizes this nefarious practice it not only usurps God’s right, but offends Him most grievously. Would that more heads of state would follow Your Highness’ example. Were they to resist the pressures brought against them to make dishonorable concessions, they would bring down God’s blessings in abundance upon their nations. Regrettably, they often forget Saint Peter’s teaching: “We ought to obey God, rather than men” (Acts 5:29).
Our prayers are with Your Highness in this crucial moment for Luxembourg. May the Blessed Mother—through the intercession of Saint Louis IX of France, your ancestor—be your faith and indomitable strength, helping you to give a bold public example of unyielding fidelity to God and His Divine Law and uncompromising opposition to the evil of euthanasia.
With my highest respect and admiration,
Sincerely,
Raymond E. Drake
President
The American TFP
