On January 6, we celebrate the feast of the Epiphany. It is the day on which the three Magi Kings came to adore Our Lord as representatives of the Gentiles, and to show that all were called to know the Newborn Savior and to follow His light of Faith.
The Magi, which means men of great wisdom, came to adore the Messiah by following a Star, God's interior call for them. They represented all kings past and future by their example and showed that earthly kings were subject to this Newborn King.
Catholics today are called to follow the Star of Truth. We are called to represent the faithful of the past by being faithful today, even if it means suffering persecution for the Faith.
To be faithful today means to realize that Our Lord is being Crucified now by the terrible sins being committed inside and outside the Church. Not only must we oppose these sins with all of our might, but we must do so joyfully and confidently, knowing that Our Lady will provide the victory, as She promised at Fatima:
“Finally, My Immaculate Heart will triumph!”
Let us ask the Three Magi to give us courage to carry out the Will of God with complete fidelity and to live in the joyful expectation of Our Lady’s coming triumph.
