Massive Turnout at the Annual Marches for Life across America

Friday, January 22nd sadly marked the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

The largest pro-life march and rally in the world takes place in Washington, DC.  TFP and America Needs Fatima, members, supporters and friends participate each year with a large force.  Anyone who has attended the national march has seen the TFP crimson standards and heard the TFP marching band.

Besides this spectacular march hundreds of marches and rallies take place across the nation on the same day, sometimes even at the same time.

One member of America Needs Fatima wrote in to tell us about a march he attended in Topeka, KS.

"I attended a very good sized rally in front of the Kansas Supreme Court building.  Last year was the largest turnout ever with the election of an openly pro-abortion president.  This year some wondered if the turnout for the rally would be as large as last year. To everyone's pleasant surprise the turnout was much larger.  I estimate over 1,000 in attendance.

Catholic school students from all over the state attended as well as young and old.  There were also plenty of occupied strollers in attendance as well. There also were priests and nuns present. I spoke with one priest from Garden City, KS, which is way in western Kansas.  Father traveled with a bus load full of young and old.  Garden City is over 300 miles to Topeka. What a tremendous sacrifice.

A number of pro-life voting politicians spoke reaffirming their commitment to defend life.  I know that they have paid a political price for their courageous stands.

The rally closed with a beautiful prayer lead by a priest quoting some of the words of Our Lady of Guadalupe."

TFP supporters and America Needs Fatima members distributed the same flier that was being distributed at the March for Life in Washington.
