Catholics in Miami greet Our Lady of Fatima with enthusiasm; Exiled Cubans enthralled

The arrival of the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima to Miami caused enthusiasm in the Catholic community in general, and in the Cuban community of that city as well.

Members of the Cuban Exile group Cubanos Disterrados proudly display their own new banner with the image of Our Lady of Charity of Cuba next to Our Lady of Fatima.

The Statue of Our Lady and the new banner of Cubanos Disterrados was blessed by Mons. Perez Pastor of St Lazaro's Church and cheered on by over 300 parishioners that attended the noon departure of Our Lady's statue to another parish in SW Miami, where Our Lady will be visiting several other parishes through March 23, 2009.
